The Multi-Trak keyboard requires an external power adapter. The Sequential part number #E-170 is for 115VAC, and an #E-175 is for 220VAC. A replacement #E-170 for 115VAC is currently NOT available.
The #E-175 for 220 VAC is not available.. a 220-to-110 step down power converter used in conjunction with an #E-170 is required for use in a 220 VAC power environment.

#E-40 Backup Battery Drain Fix
When an #E-40 back-up battery fails, program and sequence data stored in the Multi-Trak's memory are lost. The back-up battery is soldered to PC board #2, and normally replacing the back-up battery resolves the problem for another 10 years or more. However, if the replacement battery only lasts a few months and the problem returns, then the drain on the back-up battery far exceeds normal. The Multi-Trak may be missing the battery drain fix as shown in the adjacent picture. If unusually short back-up battery life becomes a problem, inspect your Multi-Trak's PC Board #2 to determine if this fix is present.
The Sequential MULTI-TRAK & TOM were made for each other, and is precisely the reason they look so much alike..
